Cub Scouts

Taylor had his first pack meeting last Wednesday. He was asked to help with the flag ceremony and took his job pretty seriously. It is hard for me to believe that three years ago I was in cub scouts in Visalia. I had it at my house and was taking the kids to pack meeting and now my own kid is in it. Crazy. I spent a few hours sewing his patches on by hand and I wondered how Mom did all of my brothers patches.
He is so excited about scouts. Thanks Mom for the shirt for his b-day.

I was excited to help him earn his Bobcat patch and get the little pen. Go Taylor!
Jon has been working like crazy this last month. He said he wasn't going to be able to make it the pack meeting. When I told Taylor that he said "he can't miss pack meeting." To him it was more important than anything. So what happens his awesome Dad shows up to be there with him. I might have appreciated it even more than Taylor with all 5 kids by myself.

I love Taylor's comments as we were walking in the door. "Okay, you can leave now." I thought maybe he didn't understand that we had to be there with him, so I told him that. Then he said that we are crazy and wild and that he is embarrased by us. Poor kid to have to be with a crazy family. I just got a kick out of his comments. We are not a small family that is for sure. Way to go Taylor we love you.

Cub Scouts is tons of fun! We're excited for him! I feel your pain...we are a three ring circus most of the time...sometimes I just want to leave. Haha:)

What a cute kid! I'm a little nervous to start the scouting phase, but good thing it's a ways away. I'm sure I will be just as crazy about it as mom and now you though! :) Loved how Jon came and surprised him. Scouts is a big deal! At least that's what we grew up thinking, and we weren't even the ones in scouting!! :)
