Joe's eagle court

We went to Monterey to see Val and her family. We took a couple of the kids and drove a little bit of 17 mile scenic route through pebble beach. It was a beautiful day. We didn't drive all 17 miles because Joe had his eagle court of honor. I couldn't believe how clear the weather was and how pretty the beach was.

Cooper played in the trees while we played soccer with the kids. What a cute kid he is.

We thought this looked like snow white's house.

Someone pointed out to us that you could see whales. So cool to see the water blow up in the air like that. We would've missed them because we didn't know what to look for.

There was something special about this lone tree tied out there but I am not sure what it is but we stopped to look at it anyway.

I love this kid. I loved his speech I should have recorded it. He has a heart of gold. I love how he talked about how much he got along with his fellow scouts and that one of them was good with the ladies. He cracks me up. I liked what he said about how scouting has taught him to get outside and do things. He said he used to play sports but since he got involved in scouting that has changed he doesn't do that anymore. He planted flowers in a state park for his project. We were so glad they lived by us for a year so we could spend time with their family. We really miss them.

It was fun to have G&G come up too as well and Steve and Gena and Matt. It was a great night. They really had great help in getting it done and Valerie was all emotional trying to thank people.

Uncle Steve was trying to win Kate's heart with a rose.
