Sausalito

We had a free Saturday so we decided to go to Sausalito which is right before the Golden Gate Bridge. So we packed up quick and headed out. We hiked to a lighthouse called Point Bonita. We didn't account for the rain and the hike was a little along because we were very wet and cold. It was so foggy we couldn't even see the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a lot of fun.

We found some old Military batteries that the kids loved hiking around. They were really cool.

This is the lighthouse the bridge you cross over is suspended above air. It is built on this Cliffside.
We went back the second week with Val and her family. We took them to Fort Point below the Golden Gate Bridge before we went to Sausalito. Cooper loved running around.

We loved inside the fort and we walked through these rooms on the bottom that had all of these exihibits.

We had lunch with the cousins outside of the fort.

Some military batteries.

The Fillmore clan. This was our last trip with them before they moved to Texas. We loved having them close by. It was so much fun.

This is a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge from the lighthouse. Awesome view. The first time we went we couldn't even see the bridge it was so foggy.

It was such a pretty day and clear and the beaches were so beautiful.

The bridge would shake as you walked over it but only because Jon was making it shake.

This is the tunnel we had to walk through when we hiked out to the Lighthouse. Chinese Immigrant workers dug it out. The lighthouse is only open three hours a day because they still use it. It is the oldest lighthouse in California. We didn't get to go through all of it but it was really cool.

These are beaches we hiked above on the way to the lighthouse.

The batteries were so cool. We found some more that we didn't even see when we went the first time. The kids hiked around these for a long time.

Cooper hiked with us to the top of this mountain. It was kind of scary because I didn't want him to follow off the side. He is such a trooper when it comes to hiking. The girls sat in the stroller more that he did. He just loves to run and be with the rest of the kids. He doesn't even want us to hold him very much.

Despite all of the graffit they were really cool. This one was on top of the this cliff. and a bit steep to climb up. We had a blast exploring in there.

Another view of the lighthouse on the cliff we hiked up to. So cool what a beautiful view.

Conner loved hiking around and finding these secret passages. We didn't even know this place existed a week ago but we could've spent all day there.

This was is inside a building. It wasn't quite as safe.

The kids inside by going through the bars and the had fun looking around.

Cooper loved sliding down on these military things. It was so fun to take their family there and we loved going two weekends in a row. Yeah and it was free despite the bridge tolls.
