Justin's merit award

Justin entered this drawing contest in his class. He was so excited and really spent a lot of time on it. He just knew he would win. He got a merit award and we went to the awards program. 

I thought he did a great job. They do this every year. They put a book together of all of the kids artwork. They pick one winner for each page. He wasn't chosen but he got a merit award. They let the kids pick which page in the book they wanted to draw. So from these words he drew the pictures for page 5. "Marie and Kenji get in Sam's back seat. They search for more children and discover a shining gold and red dragon lifted by ten kids. "I was so proud of him for working so hard.
